So life without wifi is A- absolutely amazing, B- absolutely relaxing C-so so super rad, but obviously impossible to blog.. So my stories are a bit behind, but so many jungle, river, turtle, thunder -lightening, hammock, monkey lovetastic tales to come….
Epic moments. Happening all around. Picture this… Close your eyes. Ha. Just kidding! open them😃😛 How are You supposed read w your eyes closed!?
So, picture this.
5’10 brunette, chucks on feet (aka converse shoes), dripping wet hair, bikini covering the necessary parts, machete in hand, and jungle ALL around!…
Wait for it… YES!
That totally happened 🙂 I can die happy. Felt like the star in my own movie. 🌟🎥🌟🌴💙🎥 .On That same adventure to the “posa” the watering hole on the paniquenes family property, I saw a white face monkey, a hawk, put natural exfoliating mud from the waterhole on my face AND swung like Tarzan from a super fun rope swing.
So stoked to get to visit this magical jungle oasis, Since it’s more or less the reason I’m here in Caletas with Elmer and the Paniquines family. But more about that later. Let’s talk about how much I recommend getting away to places unknown. Take the road less traveled. Find some nature. Find yourself ❤️
But 1st, how did I get here ?? Rode a boat into drake bay… No piers or docks, the boat backs right up on to the sand- hope your ready to get wet….) Stayed the night with the kind family at Casa mariposa (the awesome bed and breakfast I have the pleasure of living and working at for the month of December) started my career and a sign painting master…oh found a waterfall and some iguanas chillin on the beach
On my first day here at cabinas Los Paniquines I became Most aware that There is something grounding and comforting about the noises of nature. Roosters cock-a- doodle-doing, cicadeas vibrarting with a small screeching frequency, leaves shuffling through the costal breeze. But most importantly that the song of water , furiously- yet ever so fluidly doing its thing, can transform…Small rives babbling past my cabina and the constant rumble of the waves tumbling to the sand. It’s when I hear this sound, no matter how foreign the land, I feel at home. I’m about an hour south of drake. And when I say a hour, I mean an hike down a path that runs parallesh to the sea- Through the mud, up “steps” created by tree roots and randomly places cement slabs, and back down across draw string bridges… 
No cars, no vehicles, no cell Service , Just feet and boats. So “disconnected”, yet Completely dialed in.” Aside from missing the sweet loving everything of my guy, and the kind warmth of my beautiful Kula at home. I feel SO alive. How can you not when you are literally submerged in nature and therefor life?! 🙂
Just Work up From a nap because when we arrived here I was exhausted- Sticky, dripping in sweat and muddy. Took the most amazing cold shower, covered my 30+ bug bites ( the aftermath of forgetting bug spray my 1st night in drake ) and sleept to the before mentioned lullaby of Mother Earth.
Nature is pretty cool. This guy game to join me on the wall next To my bed when I layed down to take a nap. Making friends everywhere I go:) 
Now I’m headed to go spend time with my friend Elmer and his family who are kind enough to host me and feed me in exchange for making signs for “cabinas paniquenes”. They speak and love fluently, but nobody can write- amazing the things we…not tAke for granted, but don’t even realize how fortunate we are to have. It’s funny tho – tit for tat- i feel there is So much I can learn
From Elmer…. I suppose an education doesn’t equate to intelligence….
So- I am more than happy to be of service. so blessed and grateful for all the universe has given to me and to have the opportunity to be here with this beautiful kind generous family.
Although I haven’t actually “done ” Anything The last 4 days, it’s beyond incredible how much has happened…. So much mind blowing, calming, heart opening, connecting pure- raw- magical- fundamentaly-natural – goodness. I can’t find words to describe it. It’s like pure beautiful love. Perhaps one of those things that can’t be described, but must be seen with ones own eyes and felt with ones own heart. None the less, I have will try to put it all into words. Specifics about what exactly I’ve done here are not important. What matters is how I feel- and these people, this kind loving family has made me feel like I am one of their own. Stay at the cabinas paniquenes . You won’t find them online- or in a travel mag- you just have to show up. Be present in the moment- Where they choose to live despite ever being “given” the tools to know- that this
Moment is the very best place to be. Tell them I sent you, 🙂 and although it may not be a 5 star hotel, not all the money in the would could buy the mind blowing generous love and knowledge of “Mother Earth” that they have. My journey from here continues to awe and inspire….More life, More love…. Nature has her way of opening your eyes. You might be amazed at the things you would see if you got outside and turned off the tv. (So didn’t mean to rhyme, but yah!! 🎉💙🌊🐢❤️)
